The education component of ISEN's mission includes undergraduate and graduate course offerings on the topics of energy and sustainability. ISEN's unique approach to education incorporates an interdisciplinary
style that involves team teaching, drawing faculty from a variety of
schools at the University. ISEN has designed and is rolling out a series of courses that are attracting students throughout the University, from the physical sciences and engineering to journalism, the social sciences, music, business, communication and law. ISEN’s Curriculum Committee has lead the development and approval of the following courses: ISEN 110, ISEN 120, ISEN 130 as well as ISEN 410, ISEN 430 and ISEN 440. ISEN 420, CO2 Monitoring, will be offered in Winter 2012.

Allie Baczynski, ISEN Cluster Fellow presents her research colloquim in the area of Earth and Planetary Sciences to the June 2010 meeting of ISENse.
ISEN 130, Sustainability: Energy, Environment & Climate Change was first offered in Spring 2010. Team instructors were Paul Friesema, Brad Sageman and Mark Sheldon.
